SIX11 was founded mainly as a new, cool, Christian brand of clothing. The name of the range refers to Ephesians 6:11, which commands: ‘Put on the full armor of God [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.’
The logo represents the armour of God, and our motto states: ‘Put on the Full Armor’. Our reason for choosing for the armour of God is not only because it is appropriate for clothing, but also because it represents us who, as Christians, are in a state of war against the enemy. The time has come for Christians to stand up forwhat they believe in and to stand firmly against the enemy.
We deliberately chose a subtle logo because we do not wish to put off or alienate those who are not believers. On the contrary: the logo should open up opportunities for conversation and discussion. If someone were to ask us about its meaning, it affords us the opportunity to testify.
The brand name will also be used for spreading a message – a message that we, who are the body of Christ, should use the armour of God. We must mobilise and act in an authoritative manner, as our fight is not against flesh and blood.
SIX11 also plans to reach out to communities in need and in distress. The intention is to not only provide aid, but to help establish Divine principles in their lives. The country’s value system is prejudiced, and it is imperative that people should return to biblical and righteous principles.
The aim of SIX11 is to be one of the change agents in South Africa. We believe that through Godly inspired neighbourly love we can make a difference. After all, it is our sincere wish to testify to the kindness, love and omnipotence of God. This we do by means of the talents He has given to each of us. This is ourlove offering to God: to glorify his Name through the lives that we lead
